SYDNEY TO CANBERRA TO MELBOURNE
This idea combines well with other One Weeker classic itineraries.
Day 1. Arrive Sydney. Upon arrival make your own way to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the "World's Best City".
Day 2. Sydney sightseeing. This morning you head down to Sydney Harbor and board your cruise vessel to explore Sydney's magnificent harbor. In the afternoon you get to know more of this exciting city on a tour thatwill take you to the historic “Rocks” area, past the world famous Opera House and Botanical Gardens, and out to the beautiful southern beaches, including Bondi.
Day 3. Canberra Day Tour. Enjoy an excursion through rural countryside to the fully planned Australian National Capital where highlights are the War Museum, High Court, Parliament House, the Prime Minister's official residence "The Lodge", and Mount Ainslie Lookout. Return to Sydney late evening.
Day 4. Sydney to Melbourne. This morning is at leisure. Later, head down to Sydney Harbor and board your cruise vessel to explore Sydney's magnificent harbor. This evening make your way to Central Station for the overnight XPT train service to Melbourne (first class sleeping berth included).
Day 5. Arrive Melbourne. An early morning arrival gives you a full day at leisure to enjoy this cosmopolitan city. Melbourne is a great place for shopping! Go for a tram ride or visit the casino. Tonight you may want to try one of Melbourne's BYOB restaurants or the Colonial Tramcar
Restaurant.
Day 6. City tour and Penguin Parade. This morning's sightseeing tour takes you to cathedrals, parks, gardens and historic landmarks such as Captain Cook’s cottage. An afternoon tour to Phillip Island to see the world renowned “Little Penguin Parade”.
Day 7. Depart Melbourne. At leisure before you transfer to the airport for your flight.
