BLONDIE

Blondie was born in September 1991 in the front yard of Egypt Panorama Tours' Maadi Branch, one of a litter of five Egyptian baladi (mixed breed) puppies. Three of the puppies were soon taken by others.  Blondie and her sister Princess were adopted by Ted Cookson and Barbara Fudge and became the pets/mascots of Egypt Panorama Tours. Unfortunately, Princess passed away of unknown causes at the age of seven on 21 September 1998. Blondie, however, lived on in good health and high spirits for seven and a half more years until 17 March 2006. This painting of Blondie, Ted and Princess was completed by Canadian artist Marilyn Batte in 1999. Princess was rendered from photographs.
